Trump reportedly eyes antitrust lawyer for FTC chairmanship

President Trump is reportedly considering nominating lawyer and former antitrust enforcer at the Federal Trade Commission, Joseph Simons, to become chairman of the FTC.

The FTC is currently being led by acting Chairman Maureen Ohlhausen, and Trump is considering nominating Simons for that spot along with filling two other vacancies on the commission, according to news reports. Ohlhausen would presumably stay on the FTC as a commissioner if Trump were to nominate Simons.
