President signs DHS bug-bounty, vulnerability disclosure bill

President Trump has signed into law a bipartisan measure aimed at improving the Department of Homeland Security's own cybersecurity through a bug-bounty and vulnerability disclosure program.

The measure was sponsored by Sens. Maggie Hassan (D-NH), Rob Portman (R-OH), Corey Gardner (R-CO), Kamala Harris (D-CA) and now-former Sen. Claire McCaskill, and Reps. Will Hurd (R-TX), Ted Lieu (D-CA), John Ratcliffe (R-TX), House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Reps. James Langevin (D-RI) and Filemon Vela (D-TX).
