Trump pledges expanded federal cyber programs, coordinated prosecutions of cyber crimes

Donald Trump pledged to conduct a “thorough review” of cyber defenses and weaknesses across “vital infrastructures” if elected president, while targeting cyber crimes through coordinated federal and state prosecutions and expanding cyber-protection programs at both federal civilian and defense agencies.

“Cyber theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States by far,” the Republican presidential candidate said today at the Herndon, VA, event. “As president, improving cybersecurity will be an immediate and top priority for my administration.”
