Sen. Burr: Cyber bill on 'backburner' as lawmakers respond to Paris attacks

Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) today said final action on cybersecurity information-sharing legislation is on "the backburner," as key lawmakers focus on passing an intelligence authorization bill and assessing policy needs in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Staff discussions have begun on reconciling House- and Senate-passed info-sharing bills, but Burr suggested it will be awhile before that legislation is bumped up to the principals to make final decisions on a handful of sticking points. Burr has...
