Federal contractors irked by OMB cybersecurity guidance for acquisition process

The Obama administration's proposed cybersecurity guidance for the federal acquisition process is spurring debate about thorny policy questions amid a torrent of complaints from contractors facing the prospect of tighter controls and new requirements, according to newly released public comments.

The comments – submitted online last week to the Office of Management and Budget ahead of a Sept. 10 deadline – will inform the release of the final guidance this fall.
