Coast Guard announces next steps to implement cybersecurity strategy

The Coast Guard’s national committee on maritime security will examine a new draft cyber strategy in September as the service steams ahead with plans to issue a cyber risk management framework by early next year.

According to a Federal Register notice issued today, the committee on Sept. 29 will meet in Washington, DC, to review, discuss and formulate recommendations on the newly released Coast Guard cybersecurity strategy.
