Commerce Dept. task force readies for first meeting in vulnerability disclosure effort

A multistakeholder process on developing principles and guidance for cyber vulnerability research disclosure is expected to kick off with a Sept. 29 workshop at the University of California at Berkeley, according to multiple industry sources.

The effort is being directed under the auspices of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, a Commerce Department entity.

Commerce Department officials declined to comment on the time or location for the event, which has not been publicly announced.
