NIST issues guide to protect health data on mobile devices

The National Institute of Standards and Technology's National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence has issued a draft guide for securing medical data on mobile devices, the first in a series of special publications about protecting information systems.

The new guide demonstrates how businesses can improve their cybersecurity through standards-based tools and how medical businesses can take advantage of mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets without sacrificing security.
