Virginia developing model for ISAO cybersecurity entity

Virginia officials are aiming in the coming months to develop a model for the state's planned information sharing and analysis organization, according to Karen Jackson, Virginia's secretary of technology.

Obama's cybersecurity information-sharing executive order, issued in February, urges the development of new ISAOs – and related standards – to broaden the sharing of cyber threat data beyond sector-based groups. Virginia recently announced that it would be the first state to stand up an ISAO.
