Commerce Dept. proposes rule establishing parameters to verify foreign customers using U.S. infrastructure-as-a-service products

The Commerce Department is proposing new requirements for U.S. infrastructure-as-a-service providers to verify the identity of their foreign customers through a long-awaited proposed rule that builds on a Trump-era executive order and artificial intelligence efforts under the Biden administration.
