NSTAC cyber incentives report provides recommendations for executive action addressing industry priorities

The latest report from President Biden’s telecom security advisory panel offers actions that can be taken to address regulatory reforms and create a cyber statistics center without needing initial authorization from Congress, according to Tenable’s Jamie Brown.

The National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee wanted to provide proposals that were “most impactful,” where the “president could utilize current authorities to at least fulfill the recommendations,” Brown told Inside Cybersecurity. NSTAC approved the report at a March 7 meeting.
