NSA releases zero trust guidance on preventing lateral movement through networks

The National Security Agency is providing guidance on how to implement a zero trust architecture in national security and Defense Department systems, in a new publication focused on considerations for preventing lateral movement through networks.

The new cybersecurity information sheet “provides guidance on how to strengthen internal network control and contain network intrusions to a segmented portion of the network using Zero Trust principles,” according to a Tuesday press release.
