Interagency group plans work on voluntary approaches to cyber, information sharing

The coalition of federal agencies and regulators examining cyber issues is beginning to look at voluntary approaches to cybersecurity, following months of work on information sharing, a Nuclear Regulatory Commission official told Inside Cybersecurity.

The official said the staff-level working groups within the forum are planning a workshop in April to dive into voluntary approaches to cybersecurity. The Food and Drug Administration has taken the lead on the group’s new work surrounding cybersecurity “voluntary mechanisms,” according to the NRC official....
