Industry's latest salvo on cyber bill: Info-sharing would be purely voluntary

A business coalition is stressing that the information sharing encouraged under pending Senate legislation would be strictly voluntary, in the latest message pressed as part of an industry "separating fact from fiction" campaign in support of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act.

Senate leaders agreed before the August recess that CISA could be considered at some point following the September debate over the Iran nuclear deal. They have not specified a date or reached a time agreement on the debate, but...
