Industry: NIST guide lays groundwork for ‘Internet of Things’ security

New guidance from the National Institute of Standards and Technology offers developers for the Internet of Things a foundation for securing data and privacy, according to industry officials.

“I think it is going in the right direction, but is very broad, just like the IoT space itself,” one industry stakeholder told Inside Cybersecurity. “It’s a good starting point, but we have a long way to go down this path.”
