House Oversight sets up Thursday vote on FISMA modernization bill

The House Oversight Committee will take up legislation on Thursday to modernize the Federal Information Security Management Act, streamline artificial intelligence policy requirements for agencies, and make changes to the regulatory review process.

The bipartisan, bicameral FISMA modernization bill was introduced in 2023 by Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and ranking member Jamie Raskin and subcommittee Chairwoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) and ranking member Gerry Connolly (D-VA).
