Former DOJ cyber enforcer warns Trump team of growing IoT threats

The incoming Trump administration will have to find a way to “incentivize” designing security into the emerging Internet of Things, said former Assistant Attorney General John Carlin, who until a little more than a month ago was leading the Obama administration's prosecution of cyber criminals.

Carlin also urged the new administration to “double down” on efforts to detect and deter cyber attacks by “making it public” when you can attribute a major incident to a nation-state adversary or terrorist organization....
