FCC advisory panel sharpens focus of new cyber info-sharing initiative

A new Federal Communications Commission working group will focus on operational and other issues surrounding cyber information sharing within the private sector, primarily addressing cyber attacks aimed at damaging the nation's communications infrastructure, according to a group leader.

The working group is expected to adopt a revised charter and schedule reflecting this tighter focus as soon as this week, according to IID president and CTO Rod Rasmussen, who is helping to lead the effort.
