Documents show info-sharing groups face regulatory maze of privacy, data-security controls

The formation of information sharing and analysis organizations will have to traverse a regulatory maze of domestic and international requirements for protecting data and personal information, according to draft strategy documents released Tuesday by the ISAO standards organization created under an Obama executive order.

The draft documents, part of series of nine strategy plans released for public comment by the ISAO standards group, are intended to provide guidance for identifying and complying with numerous privacy and security requirements.
