Cyber commission report to be publicly released Friday following Obama briefing

The White House is expected to publicly release the findings of a blue-ribbon commission on enhancing national cybersecurity after the group's leaders brief President Obama on Friday afternoon, sources say.

The report, which is expected to offer “actionable” policy initiatives that the next administration could implement immediately, is likely to set the basis for transition discussions between the White House and the incoming Trump administration for moving forward on cybersecurity for critical industries and beyond.
