Commerce Dept. official outlines potential ‘vision’ for IoT security policy

AUSTIN, TX – Internet of Things devices could be certified and categorized based on their compatibility for security upgrades, a senior official from the Commerce Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration said today, as NTIA launches a new “multistakeholder” process designed to create a policy framework for IoT security.
