Cybersecurity policy is a work in progress that involves industry-government collaboration – which at times has prompted skepticism and even distrust.

Recent policymaking milestones – such as passage of a cybersecurity law – lay out the framework for further debate rather than a definitive solution. Evolving issues to be addressed include the role of the government in protecting private assets from cyber attacks and regulatory versus voluntary approaches to securing data and networks.
