Data breach report cites customer service as top driver for businesses to address cybersecurity

Protecting the data of consumers and providing good customer service ranked as the top reason businesses invest time and resources into cybersecurity, a report released Wednesday by data breach firm ID Experts finds.

According to the report, 90 percent of cybersecurity professionals surveyed ranked identity protection services as most important in responding to data breaches. Those professionals said these identity monitoring services should be offered for two or more years.
