Business groups press China to revise draft cyber law, data rules

A major coalition of business groups in the United States, Europe and Asia is hoping that world leaders will press China at the G-20 summit next month to revise a proposed cybersecurity law and information regulations that they say would undermine security controls.

Specifically, the group sent a letter last week to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang urging that China “align” its proposed cyber laws and regulations with the “goals” and “best practices” of the G-20, which the business groups say...
