Commerce Dept. restricts sales of U.S. products to Huawei; industry raises concerns on E.O.

The Commerce Department has moved to add Huawei to the “Entity List” -- restricting the sale of U.S. technology products to the Chinese telecom -- following President Trump's new supply-chain executive order, which is stirring concerns in the technology and other sectors.

Industry groups on Wednesday evening issued supportive statements on the executive order, though the Information Technology Industry Council released a statement warning of “unintended impacts” from the executive order.
