From IP theft to Huawei threats, Senate panel ponders next stage in China relationship

With U.S.-China trade talks perhaps nearing a conclusion, new Senate Foreign Relations Chairman James Risch (R-ID) said the Trump administration's tough approach to the negotiations offers the best hope for swaying that nation's behavior in domains including cyber, while panel Democrats and Republicans underscored myriad Chinese cybersecurity threats during a hearing Wednesday.

"The Trump administration has forced a new conversation on what the relationship will look like moving forward. Its trade policies show Beijing that business-as-usual is over,” Risch said...
