Symantec's annual threat review sees jump in supply-chain attacks

Cybersecurity firm Symantec's annual report on internet threats finds a dramatic increase in supply-chain attacks, among other evolving risks including ransomware and election interference as well as a “diversification” of targets.

“Supply chain attacks continued to be a feature of the threat landscape, with attacks increasing by 78 percent in 2018.” according to Symantec's “Internet Security Threat Report” issued Tuesday.
