NIST prepares to release draft IoT 'trust concerns' document, addressing possible security baselines for devices

The National Institute of Standards and Technology is inviting comment on a document detailing “trust concerns” associated with the Internet of Things -- the initial draft will be published Monday -- which means NIST's IoT cybersecurity program will be turning its full attention to establishing a baseline of security capabilities for connected devices, as required by a Trump-ordered botnet mitigation report released in the spring.
