DOE cyber office nominee files responses to Senate committee; vote still pending

Karen Evans, President Trump’s nominee to head the newly created cybersecurity office at the Department of Energy, touted the new DOE structure while sidestepping a question on the elimination of the White House cybersecurity coordinator position, in answers submitted to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

A committee spokesperson said a committee vote on Evans’ nomination was “likely” before the end of July.
