FDA seeks funding for new cyber unit, developing rules with third-party certification

The Food and Drug Administration is seeking $70 million to create a Center of Excellence on Digital Health, which will include a cybersecurity unit and will craft new regulations with third-party certification for developing medical devices and other health-data technologies, according to budget material sent to congressional appropriators.
