House Energy and Commerce panel posts tech company responses on 'Meltdown,' 'Spectre' vulnerabilities

The House Energy and Commerce Committee on Thursday posted the responses from tech companies involved in discovery and response to the malware vulnerabilities known as “Meltdown” and “Spectre.”

The seven companies submitted their letters in response to a Jan. 24 letter from committee leaders including Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR), which posed questions related to the vulnerabilities, and called for a briefing to be scheduled for further explanation.
