FTC chief Ohlhausen seeks new 'framework' for enforcement of data privacy, security protections

Federal Trade Commission acting Chairman Maureen Ohlhausen said the agency is looking to develop a new “framework” for enforcement of consumer data privacy and security requirements that would build off past legal actions while taking into account changes in technology and the marketplace.
