FTC reaches settlement with Uber over cybersecurity

Car-sharing pioneer Uber Technologies, Inc. has agreed to implement a “comprehensive” privacy program and conduct regular, independent audits in a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission after the FTC deemed the company failed to reasonably secure sensitive consumer data.
