Conservative watchdog group backs AT&T in case limiting FTC's authority on data rules

A conservative-leaning watchdog group, the Cause of Action Institute, has filed a brief in support of AT&T Mobility's efforts to defend a circuit court ruling that limited the Federal Trade Commission's ability to enforce data rules, a case that raises major questions about the government's authority to set cybersecurity requirements.
