McCain says work continues on cyber bill as Russia investigation escalates

Senate Armed Services Chairman John McCain (R-AZ) says work is continuing on a broad cybersecurity bill being drafted by his committee, amid calls for an independent commission to investigate Russian hacking of the 2016 election.

McCain said earlier this month that the committee is in the early stages of developing cybersecurity legislation, which is likely to address U.S. cyberwar policy and doctrine.
