Bill on Internet of Things strategy passes Senate Commerce panel

The Senate Commerce Committee has approved a bill establishing a commission to develop a national strategy for the Internet of Things that addresses both security and privacy, clearing the way for full Senate consideration.

The Senate committee passed by voice vote the Developing Innovation and Growing the Internet of Things “DIGIT” Act, during a business meeting on Tuesday.
