Bill by Sens. Portman and Cortez Masto calls for NIST study of Chinese influence on standards-setting bodies

A bill by Sens. Rob Portman (R-OH), who is expected to chair the Homeland Security panel in the next Congress, and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) targets a long-running concern of U.S. business groups that China is swamping the United States in international standards-setting bodies for new technologies, to the detriment of both security and market competitiveness.
