Rural telecoms seek clarity from FCC on rip-and-replace program timeline, covered equipment

Rural telecoms are asking the Federal Communications Commission for more information on how a legislatively funded rip-and-replace program will impact an ongoing FCC effort to remove Huawei and ZTE equipment from U.S. systems, expressing concern that they may be required to remove certain equipment before funding is available.
