Senate passes bill to create national 5G strategy, with key roles for FCC, NTIA, Homeland Security and Energy departments

A Senate bill directing the White House and federal agencies to work together on a plan for 5G and future next-generation wireless communication systems passed the Senate this week by unanimous consent, while the House has already passed similar legislation.
