Key tech group, other industries call for major reworking of Commerce ICT security rule

A cascade of industry comments flowed into the Commerce Department late last week urging officials to hold off on finalizing an information and communications technology supply-chain rule that tech, software and telecom groups see as unworkable and ineffective in its current form.
