Huawei executives urge 'sharing lessons' on security measures for China-based tech products

Huawei Technologies is in the cross-hairs of the U.S. government's efforts to counter cybersecurity threats from China, and the company is pushing back by pulling on all the levers of public policy including a reinvigorated communications strategy to tell its story.

The company's executives in the United States are arguing that “blacklisting” a supplier solely because it is headquartered in China, like Huawei, undermines having a comprehensive cybersecurity risk-management strategy.
