Mueller Hearings: Partisan split at House Intelligence panel sets stage for next phase in political, legal clash

House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) and ranking member Devin Nunes (R-CA) clashed sharply over the meaning and implications of former special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia report, with the Democrat arguing it provided extensive evidence of misdeeds by the president and his associates, while Nunes said it was the “last gasp” of an elaborate hoax aimed at undermining President Trump.
