Schumer seeks to parlay election-threat briefing into legislative action

National security officials from DHS and other agencies are scheduled to brief senators and House members today behind closed doors on foreign threats to the 2020 elections, and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) is hoping a fresh look at the challenges will help spur action on stalled election-security legislation with extensive cyber implications.
