Water utility groups seek to join states’ lawsuit on blocking new EPA cyber requirements

Two groups representing drinking water utilities are seeking to join a court case brought by three Republican-led states that aims to block new cybersecurity requirements the Environmental Protection Agency is adding to regular monitoring programs for water systems.

The American Water Works Association and National Rural Water Association filed a motion to intervene May 17 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. The attorneys general of Missouri, Arkansas and Iowa are suing to block the implementation...
