U.S.-Japan trade deal mirrors North American agreement on digital issues including security

The digital trade deal struck between United States and Japan includes language similar to provisions in the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement on information and communications technology as well as on security exceptions, according to the text of the agreement released on this week.

President Trump and Japanese Ambassador to the U.S. Shinsuke Sugiyama signed the U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement and the digital trade deal on Monday in Washington, DC.
