U.S. firms press EU to ensure proposed 'certification' for cybersecurity framework is voluntary

The American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union is calling for revisions to a pending cybersecurity proposal in the EU Parliament to ensure that a proposed certification process for security standards is voluntary, while endorsing a plan to permanently establish a European-wide cybersecurity agency.
