U.S. Coast Guard cyber leader touts approach grounded in accountability, partnerships

Rear Adm. John Mauger, the U.S. Coast Guard assistant commandant for prevention policy, told lawmakers that his service’s approach to maritime-sector cybersecurity is based on risk management principles applicable across industries and includes mandatory requirements in areas like self-assessments, planning and incident reporting.
