UK’s cyber centre says Huawei fails to address vulnerabilities, significant security concerns remain over its products

Chinese tech company Huawei has failed to remediate vulnerabilities in its software development process, according to the British government’s Huawei oversight board, concluding that its products bring “significantly increased risk” to operators of UK telecom systems.

“Overall, the Oversight Board can only provide limited assurance that all risks to UK national security from Huawei’s involvement in the UK’s critical networks can be sufficiently mitigated long-term,” according to the sixth annual report from the Huawei Cyber Security Evaluation Centre.
