Trump cyber order sets down numerous reporting requirements, with industry support

President Trump’s cybersecurity executive order requires more than 10 reports addressing critical infrastructure protections, calls for the federal government to secure its data systems by mandating use of the industry-backed framework of cybersecurity standards, and lays out specific steps for protecting the electricity grid and defense industrial base, mitigating botnet threats, strengthening cyber deterrence and promoting international cooperation.
