Treasury, CISA seek input on federal insurance role in ‘catastrophic’ cyber incidents

The Treasury Department, in partnership with CISA, is asking stakeholders to weigh in on whether there is a federal cyber insurance role in response to “catastrophic” cyber incidents that exceed the capacity of the private insurance market.

The Treasury Department’s request for information was published today in the Federal Register, opening a 45-day public comment period.
